When I am at my highest and life is going great, when I find myself at my lowest, thinking things just couldn't possibly get any worse, I ask myself

"HOW DID I GET HERE!"

This is my memoir, one blog post at a time. Some days you will read and feel my pain and cry with me. Some days you'll hate me for hurting someone who was innocent and probably didn't deserve the destruction I caused.

Stay, read, come back and feel free to comment. I can take it, the good, bad and ugly things you have to say. I'm finally at peace with my real story. For a long time, I lied about my story. I was always the victim when asked about my marriage and my husbands affairs. I never did wrong and was never at fault.

I'm laying it all out there, here's the truth of how my marriage fell apart. How I picked up the pieces of my life and moved forward to find happiness.

Timeline of Events

I thought I should create a timeline of events. This way I could keep myself on track and you could follow along as well.

1996 - Graduated High School

1997 - Married

1998 - First Daughter Born

2000 - Built New House

2001 - September 11th and the conception of our second child

2002 - Birth of our second daughter

2006 - Mitch left his dads company and started a new job

First affair confirmed.

2007-2015

- Swinging started in 2007, hoping it would help our marriage

- Subsequent affairs

- Drinking, fighting, turmoil

2015

- Had affair that lasted six months and ultimately became my now husband.

- Caught best friend having sex with husband

- Got arrested for domestic violence

- Filed for divorce

2016 - Oldest daughter graduated

2016 - Moved to another city with new boyfriend

2017 - Got married for second time

2018 - Grandbaby Born
